Gym-Kinetics was established in October 1985 by current owners Jim and Wendy Fredrickson. Celebrating over 30 years in business, Gym-Kinetics has been the #1 choice for gymnastics instruction in the south suburbs. Servicing Mokena, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Orland Hills, Frankfort and the surrounding areas, Gym-Kinetics has established itself as a leader in gymnastics instruction for the preschooler through the competitive gymnast.
Gym-Kinetics teaches over 1,000 students per week, and has proudly built one of the most successful competitive gymnastics teams in the country. In the past 3 decades, the south side gym has produced hundreds of champions at the state, regional and national level, along with qualifiers to international competitions in England, Canada, France, Sweden, China and El Salvador. Gym-Kinetics has also had over 20 gymnasts receive college athletic scholarships.
Jim and Wendy, along with a great staff, are most proud of the quality programs that have been developed over the years for all levels of gymnastics in a clean and friendly atmosphere. With over 26,000 square feet packed with state of the art equipment, Gym-Kinetics provides gymnastics and tumbling programs for students of all ages and abilities.

I've been with Gym-Kinetics for 13 years. I've been an athlete my whole life, so I enjoy the opportunity I have every day to coach the sport of gymnastics. I coach a wide variety of levels and events, so every day is a new CHALLENGE, but AN awesome challenge. The greatest feeling of accomplishment for me is seeing the kids smile after achieving a new skill, beating a previous high score and getting all of those medals!

I started working at Gym-Kinetics in the summer of 2014. It has been a huge learning experience for me. Having to transition from gymnast to coach, there is a lot to learn. I'm excited to see what each new season has to bring!

I have been involved in gymnastics my entire life. After ending my gymnastics career, I knew I wanted to stay involved. I currently coach pre-team all the way through Level 10. My favorite thing about coaching is bonding with all the kids and seeing them achieve their goals.

TOPs and Levels Pre-Team - Level 9
I started coaching gymnastics in 2011 as a pre-team and Level 3 coach. Ever since then, I have been working my way up into coaching the higher levels, learning more each year. In 2014, I helped set up the first Gym-Kinetics TOPs team, and in the first and second year of competing we have qualified for National TOPs Testing. I love teaching and motivating these young athletes in this sport!
